Rep. Peter Welch on Friday announced the hiring of Patricia Menduni as community liaison in his Vermont office.

Menduni, a resident of Rutland, has extensive experience in non-profit development, social services and government. Currently development director at the Paramount Center in Rutland, she recently worked as a philanthropic advisor at the Vermont Community Foundation. Menduni served as grants coordinator and constituent liaison for former Sen. James Jeffords for a decade and worked briefly for Welch in 2007, helping to guide his transition to office.

“I am so pleased to have Pat rejoin our team,” Welch said. “Pat brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this job, and she will surely be a tremendous resource for Vermonters seeking assistance from our office.”

Menduni has served on the Rutland Redevelopment Authority Board, the Vermont Council on Rural Development Creative Communities Advisory Committee and the advisory board of Rutland County TRIAD.

She will join Welch’s Burlington office in January.
